Coupled with a quality thick black powder coating, you have a product that will last you years. Now rated for towing! A comprehensive fitting kit is included.
It looks pretty good on the Land Rover, but needed a few adjustments to the position of the pre-drilled bolt holes. No written instructions with it, which would have been useful, and picture ones had to be downloaded from the internet. However I found it adequate for the purpose it was bought for.
While initially dubious of how strong this is, the amount of attachment points and bolts to put in really gives confidence to the whole thing. It's very solidly built, certainly heavy enough to indicate this too, and it goes on smoothly enough.
My only problem is a lack of instructions, I've notied this on others reviews too. Luckily I had found an online guide with torque ratings for all the bolts. I couldn't get the plastic caps into the holes over the jack points, though really I see no point to have them other to collect dirt from the other open end anyway. Plus inevitable spare parts such as bolts which seemed to have no purpose (I assume they were repalcement end bolts as my guide mentioned spare end bolts, yet they were too short fot that purpose), and a plate that was far too thick to go where it was said to. Mine seemed to have no gap for the plate to fill, so perhaps it was just incase. The instructions would have helped with this!
Still I admt it was fun working it all out and the whole thing adds to the outline, killing off the flat bottom look and giving protection for bumps both onroad and off. The built in tow bar bracket is a bonus, and has parts to attach the plugs too if you slap electrics on there for a trailer. It still gives a step, albeit a higher one than the original flip up one, into the rear too if you have seats in there.
