Excellent Americanos once you get your coffee and technique right
It took a little while to refine my technique and find the best coffee to use. Now I'm an addict - prefer coffee from this machine to any other. I use grade 6 Café Direct espresso - nothing else is strong enough - and stop the machine pumping once the flow loses colour. Then I top up with boiling water from a kettle to make a superb Americano. Relying solely on the DeLonghi results in a sub-optimal temperature if filling a mug. Simple to Operate
I recently got this machine, and I am very pleased with it. I downloaded the manual, and found it easy to operate. Nice crema, when you tamp down the coffee not too hard. Water heats quickly, and coffee comes at a good speed. Warm the coffee cup first. The milk frother is easy to use,and you soon have a nice cappuccino.
