EXCELLENT UNIT, but with a couple of minor sheet issues
It's an excellent unit and the variable speed facility is really useful. Feels good quality and is relatively vibration free and quiet. Comes with a case as well, which is a bonus I was not expecting. I am very pleased with it....BUT...........why only four stars? I deducted a star because replacement B&D sanding sheets seem hard to locate, and the extraction holes are specifically placed such that only their own sheets will fit. I get that, but it's a negative for me as I have to drill my own holes in generic sheets, thereby weakening them. In addition, it is very hard to close the case lid when there is a sheet attached to the sander, without squashing/creasing it. Who wants to take a sheet off every time just to put it away? Again, I repeat, this is a good sander...just highlighting a couple of pifalls.Verified purchase: Yes

I use a lot of sanders looking after a classic wooden boat, this Sander will be very useful, takes hook and loop but also normal 1/3 sheets. Only drawback is it does not accept my vacuum hose to minimise dust but the integral filter is ok but not perfect. Great value and a quality product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very good sander
This is a great product. It is well built (although not as good as B&D products of old) and works really well. It removes wodd/finish etc very well even at slow speeds due to the impressive orbital action and, importantly it doesn't try to 'skate' all over when in use. The dust bag is difficult to fit (and there is no option for an external dust extractor) and I was sceptical about whether it would work but it does; very effective. Well built feels good in the hand. Plenty of power when you need it variable speed is a nice bonus very handy. Velcro pads stick well and the clamping system is straight forward and secure for those times when you choose to cut your own sandpaper and use that.
