Perfect for your display case but hopeless on the track
Fantastic looker when new. However, I have never seen anyone describe the running ability of these locos as excellent. This is because they are almost all very bad runners. Over time the metal weights expand and jam the wheels and distort the whole body. If you want to run this on your layout do not buy this model. If you can find one that is cosmetically perfect than you can buy it for your display case. Max 24 pounds for a perfect looking loco. Every so often you come across a good one for example ! This one was well priced and the problem with it was sticking wheels, it was sliding on the rails rather than turning ,after close inspection I was right in my thinking that the wheels were binding !
