Splendid tool well worth the money.
There is another budget priced crimper which looks similar but has a "C" shaped anvil and is nowhere near as good. This tool is positive in use and balanced so that one handed operation is possible. The dies fit well and there is a comprehensive collection, although it is necessary to use one size smaller than indicated to obtain a good crimp. There is no deformation or sharp edges and even a crimp on 50mm2 lugs takes seconds and comes out very well. Can't comment on longevity as not had for too long but on the face of it this is a splendid tool. I created 14 50mm2 lugs on a Solar / inverter installation and the whole job took minutes. I cut one trial lug in half with an angle grinder and the copper strands were perfectly compressed with no voids. Well worth the money certainly for DIY or occasional use.

Die sizes not right
I bought this to crimp some 16mm2 wires and lugs. The 16mm2 die hardly made an impact on my lugs (2 different types from different manufacturers) Therefore I had to use the 10mm2 die to crimp effectively. This, as can be expected, was a bit too small. Therefore the crimp was not perfect and left slight "wings". I contacted the seller, the person who replied clearly didn't know what this tool was. When asked, they said the internal diameter of the 16mm2 die should be 16 mm. They supplied a replacement die, but it was identical.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
