Used this to remove cement based cracked & damaged mortar from 30m2 of Sandstone Flags. Great bit of kit that gave excellent results, and also cut down the amount of dust created to great effect. Worked well.
Rake worked well once together. Only problem l had was it didn't actually fit my 4 and a half inch grinder! Even with all the provided spacer rings. Needed a little fettling, but got it together and it it worked a treat. Would recommend some tungsten carbide rakes which work better than the ones provided. Good for lime mortar
This is great with lime mortar which is soft, but it’s not great on cement mix, where you are better off with a disc. No dust either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

JUST WHAT I WANTED
Had tried using cutting disc with dust extractor but still dust not controlled properly. So searched internet and found this item. Took a chance and purchased, delivered very quickly. Used 8mm cutter and extractor hired from local hire company. The Irwin device was very usefull and quick, not a fast as a tungsten disc but far less dust, indeed very little.
