Terrible instructions for a good chainsaw
The instructions for putting this machine together are really poor. I think the assumption should be that whoever is trying to 'build' something that comes in parts in a box is not a D.I.Y expert, but these flimsy how-to-do-it illustrations do nothing of the sort, so I had real difficulty in getting the chain part screwed onto the main body. I'd bought this with the notion of clearing some of my garden, but the all-in-wrestling involved in getting the thing together robbed me of any enthusiasm I'd garnered for the project before I'd even switched the chainsaw on! Also, there's a place for you to put oil into, but the saw arrives without any oil, and surely a little pot to get one's project underway wouldn't have killed Black and Decker? Having said all that, the chainsaw does exactly what it said on the box. It's not up to slicing through chunky branches, but it really does make light work of anything smaller than that. I'd strongly advise Black and Decker to rethink how they're putting this out there. A machine in a bigger box, with oil, that comes already put together so that you can unpack it, charge the battery and then go about your business is surely a better way to go?Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for what you get

It's great
It works very well for such a small and light machine. My only wish is that dewalt batteries would have fitted. The tiny charger seams to take for ever. I managed to cut about 35 logs from an apple trees 100mm to 150mm diameter branches.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
