  • Not as strong as the good old stuff

Removes spray paint and standard run-of-the-mill coatings with ease, however not effective at all on powder coating or any other more industrial aircraft type of coatings. I recently purchased this to try stripping old powder coating from an old set of BMW rims. I used 2 cans on one rim and still most of the powder coating still remains.

  • Not as good as i thought

I saw people on youtube use this stuff to remove clear coat off stock chevy truck rims. It seemed to work very well for them. I did 3 applications with one can on a set of 4 rims and it still failed to remove all the clear coat leaving the rims a total mess. I had to buy another can and do it again and then sand by hand the rest of the way. For the price of this stuff per can i thought it was going to work WAY better than it did. Disappointed, but i guess this is still the best product for this task.

  • Works, just not quickly, & requires multiple applications.

I bought this to strip some 50 yr old motorcycle parts. It worked ok, but required 3 applications and some scrubbing with a scotchbrite pad. Not that the finish was anything special, just one or two coats of plain old enamel. I first tried Zip Strip purchased at my local hardware store; that proved to be just about useless. Not the same formula as in the old days, apparently. So in comparison, this is a lot better.

  • Government regulations are preventing DIY repairs.

The chemicals in this stripper were outlawed a few years ago. I believe this was very old stock and may have lost it's effectiveness. Although the new stuff works no better. Thank goodness the government regulators are keeping us so safe. pfftt!!

  • Must Be Made for Aircraft as It Didn't Work on a Toy Car!

Cost 3 times as much as regular paint stripper. Took 2 times as long to work as regular paint stripper. Did about 1/2 as good a job as regular paint stripper.

  • Makes stripping easy

Works quickly. Makes stripping something a breeze! As with any stripper wear appropriate clothes, goggles and gloves. It will burn your skin if it gets on you.

  • Clean and easy to remove paint as required

It removes paint from metal quite easily after a few minutes. Spray it on let it set for few minutes and scrap it off. that easy.

  • A product they works!

This product was not available in stores in my area. After using this product and then one similar from the store, it by far worked better. Highly recommend.

  • Get the old formula...EAR322.

This is an absolutely fabulous paint stripper...If you get the right version. The older formula (EAR322) is FAR superior to the newer (EAR2000) version. Don't waste your time or money on the newer version.

  • Didn't do a very good job stripping the paint off my hood for $23 I expected better results...
