I already own one, but had dropped it on my kitchen floor (which is tile) and it broke the screen, so I needed a replacement. This product is probably no different from the regular 30GB Zune that is sold, except it has HALO 3 extras and paint scheme. It's easy to use, can hold a bunch of stuff, and updates frequently. The only downside is that it is a bit bulky, and the headphones that come with it aren't that great. Ear buds instead of something a bit more substantial. A fine product.
i bought an microsoft zune halo3 edition from a local seller in turkey for 150 usd. item is great for value. when you connect the player to computer it updates its firmware to 2.3. this new firmware has more advantages like wireless sync. and more useful menu design. i suggest to buy travel pack to max. performance. +strenghts: sound quality, great 3" screen, useful radio, price -weaknesses: heavy and bulky design, included headphones
It is awesome sauce. Zune is a bit dated, and I can't find the software for it, but the sound quality is good and it plays music all day.

I decided to buy it because I have regretted not buying it when it first came out. I remember holding the box, wanting to buy it, then thinking that I would buy it later. By the time I thought going back for it, they were all gone. I love the way it looks. I am a iPod nut so Zune from Microsoft was new. I love the Zune controls and menu. It is much easier to access everything from pictures to music. It also has games and came out before the iPod Touch. Microsoft is ahead of the digital curve. I don't like getting used to a new controller. But that is just part of changing brands. Overall I love it.
I have owned an Ipod and have known many people who have them also. After switching to the Zune, I can easily say that I prefer it to the Ipod by far. While not as sleek as the Ipod, I find the Zune much more user friendly; its controls are direct and simple. I was able to download the program via on-line without the user disc, and I find it much better and more compatible to the annoying Itunes program. Without any manual, I have been able to figure out how to utilize the Zune with ease; and I am no Mp3 guru. The radio feature is also a wonderful bonus - it comes automatically on the Zune without having to buy any added equipment. Granted I have had it for only a short time, but I can safely predict that I will be a longtime Zune fan and will gladly discard my Ipod.
