Good quality, but software could use some improvement
Bought this to datalog and tune a Mustang GT. The handheld is an improvement over the outgoing X3 as the LCD screen makes it easier to read at night. The screen layout can be customized to see more (or less) on the screen while datalogging with the handheld. The more compact size of the device makes it feel more portable and the general fit and finish is better than the older models. Datalogging with a laptop/Livelink software can be a bit challenging as it seems to be inconsistent on whether it can log starting with the key on/engine off, or log regardless of engine status as long as the key is on. SCT tech support was prompt and helpful during the two occasions I needed their help which can go a long way when dealing with finicky devices like this one. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend. Ford Mustang owners don't have much choice in the matter anyway because most tuners prefer tuning with SCT.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I sold my h&s to buy this???
Everyone told me it was a way better unit for the 6.0 Powerstroke. I think they were wrong. You can't even change power settings on the fly like the h&s. Just the 50hp towing tune caused my truck to miss and shift super hard which didn't clear up with 100 miles of driving.
