  • Easy, doesn’t seem to restrict the fan

Easy install. The fan doesn’t seem to sound restricted at all. Tried uninstalling It for future cleaning. Leaving in Alaska I will pre warm the car before attempting it but it came out easily as well. For what it is and as much as it’s needed I can see future availability from other manufacturers driving prices closer to cost but didn’t want to wait for that to happen. After cleaning my 2010 that had nothing preventing hair and dirt to the fan I was happy enough that out of the three previous owners no one seemed to have had a dog and we don’t either so our battery may just go the distance although I do t think I’ll get 600,000 miles out of the 2010 pack the way the Swiss taxi driver has so far on his original pack. This predicted is a small inexpensive part in my Alaskan hybrid longevity plan. Hope they get cheaper by the time this one breaks from being exposed. Photo from the back of the trim piece with filter attached, fan 10 years no dogs apparently without having been cleaned and last is after spending an hour vacuuming, blowing and scrubbing with a q-tip wet with brake cleaner. Save some effort possibly and help the system cool itself in the summer and heat itself in the winter with a fan not clogged with hair and other unidentifiable stuff.

  • Welocme addtion to a necessary part of keeping the hybrid battery cool!

Perfect fit in the Prius, makes cleaning the grille of the filter a breeze. Also the screen is more visible making accidentally blocking the intake more obvious, IE: easier to avoid blocking it.

  • Excellent Filter

This is for my 2015 Toyota Prius. I previously had a 2012 Prius, and I wish this was available back then. This is a fantastic idea to add so you don’t get your HV Battery Fan clogged. It is a DIY project to clean the fan. However this is so much easier. It does a great job. I’m completely happy with this filter and I’d buy it again without hesitation if I broke or lost this one. Absolute necessity if you ask me for 3rd Gen Prius’.

  • Real cheap insurance plus easier maintenance.

Factory Toyota fix for early year(s) 2010 and possible 2011. Easy to pop on screen/filter to keep your hybrid battery system relatively clean and cool. Also, helps from big stuff getting in from the seat vent. It is a good precautionary measure the dealer likely won't even inform you about. You must maintain the other half of your engine, the Hybrid battery. Installs easy and a better option than the screen behind 2011-15 Prius models. I'm running both inner and this outer screen but a Toyota master mechanic suggested I could just toss the one behind the side panel and run this solo.

  • Never knew I needed one.

I never knew I needed one since my 2012 Prius didn’t come with one but wstching you tube videos snd talking to mechanics it sounded like a good idea. After buying one, it was easy to install and seems easy to remove and clean out when needed. In my opinion, well worth it if you want to make your hybrid battery last.

  • Battery Filter

This item is easy to install and saved me $205. Lakeland Toyota sold me the price of the part was $40 dollars and over $200. to install. I installed the part in 5 minutes.

  • Great fit should have been standard all along

These were an afterthought by Toyota and should have been standard all along when they noticed dirty cooling fans the first time. I wasn't even aware of the product until last month and that they didn't start putting these on the Prius until late 2012, I guess mine didn't make the date. It's too bad Toyota neglected to inform all of us that didn't make the date that they came out with a prevention. I guess they might have been afraid we would have asked for a free one. I would highly recommend anyone not having one installing it to save your hybrid battery from overheating when the cooling system gets clogged.

  • Genuine Toyota Debris Screen

This genuine Toyota part looks great and will protect the hybrid battery from overheating. Every Prius owner should get one of these.

  • Toyota Prius hybrid battery fan filter

This was a factory part that popped right in. Now the air going to the Hybrid battery will be filtered.

  • Awesome !

Very easy to install on the outside which eliminates the hassle of taking off the cover all the time to maintain sufficient air flow. The original filter is on the inside which you have to remove the housing to get to it.
