    Good Machine for Home

Very handy HOME Serger - is able to merrow finish light to medium weight fabrics (with aid of helping pull fabric through). Have not tried on denim yet, and therefore unsure. I've used on medium-weight jersey doubled and was OK. It is a bit difficult to thread and requires additional light, threader aid, tweezers, and dexterity. But all in all is great for Home sewing.

Singer Tiny Serger was very Disappointing

The Original Carton was in rough condition but more importantly this item was originally in 1995. It could have been identified as Older Model. Most of all in my disappointment was that this purchase did not include any Directions or an Instructional sheet. The Singer Tiny Serger was not in great shape with Debris in strategic operational areas near the Needle, etc All in all, I was extremely disappointed with this

  • An Edger, Not So much a Serger

Bought this for my daughter and she was disappointed. The stitching isn't tight enough, even though she tried adjusting the machine. The edging function is okay, but not sure how long it would last on something heavily used. Might be fine for seasonal tablecloth and crafty items?

  • Awesome Item Perfect for My Purposes Works Perfectly, easy to use, light!

This is the perfect thing! It finishes seams and joins/finishes seams with a very nice overlock stitch, is very easy to use (I used it out of the box and changed the threads with the instruction manual, no problem). It's a great value for the money for someone looking to serge seams who doesn't want to spend the money on a regular serger!

  • Just ok

Not sure if it’s because I bought it used, but I wasn’t that impressed about the machine. It’s cumbersome to thread, and can only handle light fabrics, as things seem to get knotty with thicker materials. Maybe a newer machine would work better.

  • Great for beginners

This is a super easy machine to start using. If you plan on using normal weight fabrics with it (cottons, muslins, knits) and can find one in good condition, go for it! If you are planning on using heavier weight fabrics (corduroy, wool) I would hold off and get a heavier duty machine. ,

  • Probably just too used

If this were new it would probably be fine. But, it didn't last long. Long enough to get most of the work done I wanted but not long enough to be worth much. I would wait til a good sale and just get a new model instead.

  • Compact quality serger !

I own both the styles these came in. They are my go to machines for finishing off my sewing projects, leaving a nice quality professional look to my finished projects. Keeps the material from fraying , and I have many garments that look as good now on the finished salvedges , as when I made them years ago ! I recommend getting one of these if the opportunity is available ! You won't be disappointed !!

  • Singer Tiny Serger

It does what it says it is just very very small. According to my husband it was easy to thread but not for my seamstress.

  • Great item for Beginner

It's a great item for a beginner. For me, it didn't do what I needed it for. I would say it is a good value for someone. It is challenging to be able to thread the machine, but if you follow directions it's not too bad.
