It was worth the long wait
I like many waited a very long time for the fourth installment to arrive on book shelves. (okay, it was only five years, short compared to the next book, but I was 23) I actually purchased it in hardcover, as a broke 23 year old, this was a big purchase. I was not disappointed. I loved traveling backwards down the great mother river with Ayla and Jondalar, meeting those we came to like one his travels down river. I have since purchased the whole series in hard cover and have read them over and over. This is one of my favorite series.
