The Pirates Are Here to Rock the House!
Just learned about this group recently, that they were one of the forerunners of the British invasion. I had always thought "Shakin' All Over" was a Guess Who original. I had no idea Johnny Kidd and the Pirates had a hit with it years earlier. Another tune I absolutely love on this CD is a Phil Spector penned tune "Ecstasy." Love the beat and bass line. If I'm not mistaken Spector had written it for Ben E King, but the Pirates do a great job with their version.
