Chose this card on the basis of reviews showing it to be the best AGP graphics card available, even when compared against more modern cards. Has significantly increased the framerates on my elderly PC when playing firstpersonshooting games in SecondLife. Has given a new lease of life to my old PC. Card is stable, hasnt caused any problems at all. Even the Radeon software is good, with lots of settings to change. Its a little bit noisy - my pc does not support variable fan speeds, so it sits at 50% - and is quite noticable... though barely louder at 100%. Specs show it draws A LOT of current at maximum - 31Amps!!! (equates to 372Watts at 12Volts) Not many other cards draw so much current. had to buy a new Powersupply unit in order to use the card. I would buy it again however, overall, am pleased I bought it.Read full review
I bought the Sapphire Radeon AGP 512 graphics card in order to upgrade my 8 year old PC, at a resonable cost. I am quite pleased to see that it's operating in a perfect manner and lets me enjoy my favorite games!
Maybe the best and more reliable AGP graphic card in its category.

As many may know this is the most powerful AGP graphics card on the market today. It definately lives up to hype, even at times outperforming my P4 3.4Ghz Extreme Edition. Another major plus is the fact that it is so quiet, even without my fanless heatsink, under normal conditions it is barely audible, especially with the case closed. A nice addition to the normal Catalyst Control Centre supplied with all ATI cards is the option to overclock the GPU using the software, which can mean the difference between 20 and 30 FPS providing you have the CPU to support it. Overall an excellent product that breathes new life into an ageing P4 system. Buy it!
Lovely card to add that zing to an older AGP system. Make sure you use the Sapphire drivers from their website as the normal ATI ones won't recognise the card.
These are the best card ever made for the AGP interface. They support DirectX 10.1 and are probably the only line of cards that are AGP and support anything above DirectX 9. If like me you have an older system that struggles with the latest games one of these cards could bring your system right upto date, atleast enough to play the latest games, your just not going to be loading as fast or as higher resoultion as people with modern kit. Summary, these are great to breath new life into an older single core system that is still a pretty good spec, say 2.5GHz or above. They work with Windows 7 also, so you can get your older PC running pretty quickly too! Am glad I bought one!
Fastest AGP Graphics card on the masrket today, and im guessing will be the fastest ever. The fan is a bit on the noisy side and very often has a mind of its own so if you are buying this card i would very much recommend using a differnet manufacturer to the spphire one. otherwise great product. breathed much life into my old POS
Easy to install requires power connection of 450 watt +. Runs ok on 4 watt. Update driver for best perfomance. Good cheap upgade for money. Dislikes. No connection adaptor for VDU input you need DVI male to VDU female.
The Frame rate in TRAINZ is only a little better that my Radeon X1600PRO. So I am a bit disappointed. I have put the latest drivers in.
I have a P4 2.8ghz with 2.5gb Ram running Windows 7. Before buying this card, I had a 128mb GeForce FX 5200 graphics card. The PC was fairly sluggish, particularly when using things like Windows Media Centre. After upgrading to this card, the media centre ran like the wind, a huge improvement on before. The Windows Experience Index for 3D graphics jumped from around 2.5 to 6.5 after installing this card (out of a possible 7.9). I'm hoping to be able to play Civ 5 on this machine in the future (according to various sources it will be possible). Very pleased.
