    Very good, reasonable price.

    The new (used) Sanyo 800 vcr is an exact duplicate of the model I have been using daily since around 2005 (18 yr). The eBay ad suggested it was tested and it works. Several others were just tested so they may not have worked. That is why I chose this particular vcr. It was shipped very rapidly and I received it within 1 week total. Then I tested it in stages, first with my current remote (which worked fine), then the tape insertion and ejection, then the fwd-rev, then the fast forward- reverse, which all worked. Then I assembled the whole system, found an appropriate tv channel (no cable or streaming involved) and repeated the above tests. Finally I tested the recording- playback modes which also worked fine. The 4 out of 5 rating is based on the outlandish cost of shipping, although the indicidual item price was reasonable or as expected. Altogether, very good, so far.

    VCR works fine, but remote is wrong unit for VMW-800 VCR. Remote does not work , no main menu. Can't setup or program onscreen displays etc. Right remote is 6711r1n074c Dick Atkinson

    VCR used for digital converting project.

    VCR Worked great! I wired my video/audio output to a digital recorder (capture) I made with my raspberry pi (have some time on my hands with all the stay at home orders). Now I have all my VHS memories converted to digital video format. Even shared some memories with close family though youtube!
