excellent for tape ripping!
great for ripping old tapes and even tapes with crappy tracking. i would put the image quality the same as the high end JVC models. only down side was figuring out how to manually track tapes. hold the EP/SP button wile playing a tape and press the direction button on the VCR to change tracking manually. eject tape to return to auto tracking.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This is a great digital VCR and found it practical. I love it and the original owner processed it in excellent condition. Not many out there and if you find one grab it if you are a fan of VCR's.
