Item is in superb condition for its age, vintage late 40's to very early 50's so virtually 70 years old. The condition of bodywork and inspection of underneath, particularly the pick-ups, suggest the item has had very little use. It is a remarkably clean example of this loco. I have not track tested it yet as it was bought mainly as a display piece. As it has been serviced and re-magnetised I see no reason why it should not run well (the one I had as a boy never failed despite the rough treatment I gave it). The box is also is in very solid, superb condition with all packing pieces, which look original, present.
