Great and recommended, just not perfect.
4MM larger than the original, quartz when the original was manual wind. Actually nicer made than the original. Leather is much too thick. And the strap is held on by pin-bars and not one sold bar like the original. That being said, do I like it, YES, would I buy it again, YES. keeps better time than the original and will probably work longer than the original. Without doubt, captures the WW1 and 1920's look and feel. If you like history, this will be a great conversation starter. If you don't like history, it is a darn cool looking time piece. Oh yeah one other big plus, the dial glows without using actual Radium ! Great change especially if you don't want cancer! LOL! History buffs with get this humor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not for everyone.
This is not a watch for everyone. The numbers are large and bold. The strap is integral and thick. I love it. It is not a dress watch. I bought it to replace and upgrade a Timex Weekender for black accent busness casual. (I am clergy and wear black clericals). I used to have parishioners who worked for the railroad. There were the typical "standards" for the face of their watches (real numbers of a certain size and color), but ultimately you should be able to know and repeat the time in a glance of a fraction of a second.
