Metcalfe cut stone kit
I had already bought a couple of Metcalfe’s stone retaining wall kits but my layout needed a much taller retaining wall. The solution was to use the matching cut stone kit which enabled me to extend the height of the wall by covering thin plywood and square section timber to extend the wall and buttresses. One thing to consider is that the shade of the cut stone kit is slightly darker than the retaining wall but won’t be a problem once I have weathered the finished structure with soot deposits and moss. The photos show the progress so far.
