Lovin' It
I am really happy with the Hoover Floormate Deluxe. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t the great job this did. Our floors look like new again. I did go over the floor a couple times because the dirty water was really, really dirty. And I thought our floor was already half way clean. I’m writing this review after only one use so, as of now, I have not seen anything negative about this product. I see somewhere that it was nosey. I guess if you live in a mortuary it would be, but for the average person it would be called doing its job. The cord was long enough to reach all corners of a fairly large Kitchen/Dinning area. This review is for our Vinyl floors. I have not used it on my Pergo floors as I just don’t feel comfortable putting water on the Pergo as it is NOT sealed. I do believe that the FMD would remove most of the water but I still worry about the moisture. I do live in the Pacific Northwest which doesn’t help the moisture dry as well as in warmer areas. If I lived in a warmer climate I would probably try it on the Pergo. It does not seem to take much water to get the results. I filled it up one time and it cleaned both bathrooms and the Kitchen/Dining room (about 550 sq ft in all) and I still had some water/cleaner left. And I did go over the K/D twice. So I would say about or close to 1000 sq ft per fill up. Also it is very lightweight so easy to move and stores in a fairly small area. Easy cleanup. I think by taking the dirty water off the floor it made a huge difference in the way it cleans. You never get all that dirty water off the floor with a mop,steamer, or even on my hands and knees. Mop? We Don't Need No Stinking Mop!
We're owned multiple FloorMate models over the years and it was time to upgrade, so I bought three of the FH40170PC and couldn't be happier. Well, I could be slightly happier if it were easier to pull the trigger to dispense solution, but other than we're really pleased with this new model. Sometimes we apply solution with the machine, but other times we use a pump sprayer to apply a botanical disinfectant or our favorite pet odor remover. We let them dwell a few minutes, then go to town with the FloorMate and the results are fantastic. I urge you to consider the FloorMate for your floorcare needs. Just be sure to rinse (flush) the unit thoroughly with clean water after using it and be sure to clean out your brushes so everything will last longer and will be fresh and ready the next time you want to use the FloorMate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than a mop and bucket
Good floor cleaner that cleans fairly well. IMHO could use a little stiffer brush for grout cleaning. I would give my recommendation to buy if your in the market. Haven't owned long enough to comment on durability.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hoover FloorMate
Received my purchase perfectly packaged and in tact almost immediately. Am so pleased with this purchase and would recommend this item in an instant. I was familiar with this product as I have been using a Hoover Floormate for several years and wanted to replace it. Not because I wasn't satisfied (the old one is still working) but I felt it was time to update. The Hoover FloorMate is convenient and so easy to use. Floors dry quickly. Have no problem removing and cleaning the brushes when needed. Was skeptical with my first FloorMate about removing the sponge filter to clean.
