Good If you're just doing ocasional small jobs

Unfortunately. The one I got was faulty. I found out after only one door. It had a faulty control module making it think it was overheating. I was going to exchange it for a new one but after I taking to American Airless and explaining the amount of work I had planned he guided me to a full sized X5. After using it to paint 10 doors and many more to do, I am glad I did. However, I am strongly considering buying a refurbished handheld airless like the VSP just for all the small oil based paint jobs I have like outdoor furniture. I trust American Airlines to provide provide quality refurbished products or make it good in the case of an ocasional faulty product.

    Just a toy.Big Price,Low Performance.

Will not spray unthinned latex paint. Variable speed must be turned way up to get a good spray pattern. The sprayer throw's an enormous amount of paint and can empty the paint cup in one minute. Overspray is worse than a regular air sprayer. If you try to paint inside, you will have to cover ALL floors, walls and ceiling with plastic .Clean-Up is a huge mess. This painter is fine for painting outside deck railings, but don't even think about using it on kitchen cabinets! It is the worst piece of spray equipment that I have used in 40 YEARS.

  • Used for Staining Deck Rails

I used this last weekend to stain my deck handrails. What would have taken at least 8 hours with a brush took about 1.5 hours. This was a perfect project for me to start out on since I hadn't used a paint sprayer before. Overspray did waste some paint, however it was not an issue with getting paint on the house as I only had to cover a few areas with cardboard. Controls were easy to use, and product worked when spraying from any angle. Cleanup seemed no worse than cleaning up a brush and roller. Looking forward to trying this out indoors and painting furniture.

  • Nice product that preforms.

Highly recommend. It's a great product. Use latex directly out of the can (after running through a filter). Don't start at highest settings. Take is slow until you get used to it. Great for Doors, Cabinets and other small jobs. Can do walls too, but might want something w/ hoses to pick up directly from a bucket. But the spray quality is just as good. so If you want to do some walls, go for it. Great little gun. No more brush marks. Just remember to maintain and keep this thing clean or you will be dissapointed next time you use it. Enjoy

  • Truecoat 360 VSP

First thing you notice is how light this unit is. very controllable to use. covers well . easy to cleanup. Did I mention how light the Truecoat 360 VSP is. My original Graco Truecoat sprayer feels 3 times as heavy. This makes for a lot of fatigue at your wrist and forearm. Nice unit to use for painting smaller pieces, doors , cabinets etc.

  • Great results after you learn the proper technique

This is my first time using a spray gun for painting. I would say that it takes a bit to get used to but once you use (properly) it it works amazing! The results are fantastic. Only crazy part is it takes longer to prep and cleanup then to actually paint. In the pictures below, Sand Colored cabinet doors to white in about a minute of painting.

  • Great deal on a good product!

It came new in the box, as expected. Very easy to use if you follow the instructions on how to prime the pump. Cleanup is easy but can take some time. This was my first time using a sprayer of any type. I was spraying cabinet doors that I put on buckets. There was a good deal of overspray, even when I was using the smaller spray tip. This will probably be minimized as I use it more and develop better spraying techniques. The cord is very short, so an extension cord is required. I used one that I let drag on the floor, and the overspray coated it pretty well. It cleaned up with warm water, but next time I'll suspend the cord from the ceiling somehow.

  • Thanks!

I've had small sprayers from another brand and it didn't perform as expected. This one is especially nice because you don't need to thin the paint. Easy to use easy to clean. I have a large commercial graco, very happy. Needed this to paint cabinets, worked great.

  • Completed the job, just not as nice as I hoped for

I purchased the sprayer to paint an office desk. The desk was very large and I didn't want to use a roller/brush because I wanted a consistent finish wothout the need of an air compressor. I used a primer first, and although the primer was thick the sprayer did a good job of spraying the material. Then the paint itself went on rather well without any major difficulties. Pro's: -Easy to use -Covers large areas quickly -Priced accordingly to the market Con's: -Spray finish is not very smooth. Tends to leave orange peel on every coat. Recommend for trim, walls or doors that do not require a smooth, glass-like finish. -Due to the way the paint is sprayed, I had to turn the speed up to try and remove paint streaks. The sprayer does not spray continuously, so the user is force to be careful how they are applying each coat to try and remove paint streaks but still avoid running. -Has the tendency to clog and sputter when the container is around 25% full. I had to keep filling up the container at around 30% to insure this didn't happen. Notes: -Cleanup is similar to any other type of sprayer.

  • Unbelievable deal

Haven't used it yet but it looks NEW and is packaged just like a brand new unit I bought a few months ago at Lowe's for about $300. Giving this one to my son in law for his birthday. AWESOME VALUE.
