Great Product and very useful
This product was very easy to setup, right out of the package. Simply inserted the hard drive, following the simple instructions, and I was ready to use my brand new external hard drive without a problem. It is Windows 10 compatible and, depending on the size of hard drive that one uses (I used a 500 gb capacity), was ready to go once connected to computer. This case comes with a pouch that protects it but it does not fit the case and the cable at the same time. So I use it for the case only and keep the USB cable in close proximity. This product also comes with a USB cable that is doubled on one end and single on the other. Really easy to use!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

my drive is too large?
my 2.5 drive won't fit inside of it. It doesn't appear to be squished or anything because there was really good packaging! Overall great quality product, especially for the price. Does anyone know why my drive won't fit in? anyone else having the same issue? I am still able to use the drive adapter and it does work great but I can't actually use the enclosure. Anyone?

great price on a great item
I replaced a hard drive in my laptop and got this to put the old one in so i can take things off of it and put them on the new hard drive. this is so easy to use. just plug in the old hdd and insert it into the case, put in 2 screws and you're done. everything came with this enclosure that you will need to do the job. a small screwdriver, and even the usb cable to connect it to a computer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great for Wii U!
Good for USB2 requirements. I bought it because the Wii U console requires USB2 drives if you want to store your games externally (not USB3). Rescued all the data from client's old laptop!
My client spilled soda pop on her laptop. The sugar in the pop corroded the keyboard and motherboard so the laptop wouldn't boot. The hard drive didn't look corroded, so I pulled it out and plugged it into this hard drive enclosure. It was easy to install with a couple screws. (Sabrent included a tiny screwdriver that would be enough to install the hard drive in the enclosure. I fyou need to take the hard drive out of the old computer like I did, you probably need a more robust set of screwdrivers. I used my own) I plugged the (included) USB cables into her new laptop. Be aware that it requires two USB ports, preferably side by side. I was then able to access the hard drive and easily transferred all the old data to the new computer. Extra drive
Replaced a hard drive from a laptop with suspected virus. Formatted old drive and ran some tests on it and now have a very good USB 250 GB portable drive. This is a very nice enclosure. Higher quality than most of the cases i've seen. And you can't beat the price! Took me about 10 seconds to assemble. Includes a Y-shaped USB cable so you can use 2 usb ports (1 for power and 1 for data) but was not necessary for me, I just use 1 usb port and it works perfect. Backup Drive
Using this with a 2.5" SATA 3 lap top drive for storing PCs backup images. Item works great. Plug and play as far as installing drive and powering up. Windows 10 immediately recognized the storage drive via the case interface. Backup transfer went quickly, under 35 minutes using Paragon 2014 Free and normal compression. Drive stayed below 30C inside the case during formatting and backup writing with room temperature at 72F. Total continuous writing time was 1 hour 25 minutes. 250GB Drive and case came to $34.40. Better setup and less than half the cost of one I would have considered reliable enough from Amazon or Wal-Mart.
