One of my favourite films, an unusual love story between an indian fakir and an orphan boy, The scenes of rural india are extremely realistic as are the military scenes, to my eyes. A film for all the family. Peter O'tooles performance of the "Holy Man" is somewhat unusual as is his hairpiece but I think it add to the other-worldliness of the film
