These components all work together to provide sufficient bass and top-notch audio output that ranges from a 45Hz to 23kHz frequency response range. With 70 watts of continuous amplifier power and the ability to peak at 140 watts amplifier power for each channel, these bookshelf speakers provide the oomph needed to any sound system. Additionally, the normal impedance at 8 ohms and 90 dB sensitivity allow these speakers to provide exceptional sound. Decent Speakers, Good For Lows
These sound pretty decent, best at delivering the mid-range and lows you want. But they are really best paired with other speakers that will deliver the highs and an added powered subwoofer to enhance the base. Not as good as standalone speakers, great as part of a surround sound system. For what I am using them for, they deliver what I want. At the recommendation of a YouTuber, I put them on foam mats. Even better. These sit near the floor (6 inches off on a wire shelf), with a Yamaha powered subwoofer in the corner, and DUAL bookshelf speakers on the top shelf above. Sitting about 15 ft away, everything sounds good. Very big for bookshelf speakers, and 3-way too boot. Most bookshelf speakers are 2-way, and smaller.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Just right for retrofit
I've purchased many of these but retrofit the 8" driver/speaker with a Selenium (by JBL) and replace the midrange with a high end Dayton dome tweeter. I disconnect the regular tweeter and all crossover components, adding a standard capacitor on the new dome tweeter for crossover around 3K. This becomes a high end two way speaker. Needless to say, I buy these only for the enclosure/box because nobody else makes a bookshelf speaker with an 8" speaker. I should mention that the standard components are okay but I wanted something with a lot more punch. It seems most of the speaker manufacturers have abandoned enclosures for 8" and 10", leaving a tinny sounding system and gaping hole in midrange frequency response even when using a good subwoofer. Sorry guys but I grew up with real speaker companies like Cerwin Vega that would crush what's being pushed on the market today! It seems everybody wants to make things cheap today, but for the money, you can buy these cabinets and make a superior system with better components.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value

Great bass and crystal clear highs!
When I first bought these speakers I sat them on the floor and was unimpressed and felt like I had wasted my money. However, when I relocated them off the floor and on top of my Realistic Mach One speakers the difference was so dramatic I was stunned. These smallish speakers have great bass once elevated along with handling plenty of volume!
