Beautiful medium size sub with convenient features.
Works with my Yamaha RX-797 receiver from 2005 with the 'control out' which is the same as a '12 volt trigger' on later models. Very nice finish, easy setup, front mounted controls, shelf mount for easy rack fitting. Gives that extra amount of kick for the low bass that you didn't know you needed. For watching movies if is especially good for adding realism. Resting on a glass shelf it is very good at impact, not really made for being on soft carpet or the like. A lot bigger than I thought for a compact sub but it just disappears on a shelf and becomes part of the rack. A very elegant design, only one color black.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect for a small stereo system
I use this little woofer with a Yamaha miniature network player (CRX-N560) and high quality SVS speakers to enjoy high resolution music in office. I listen from classic over rock to country several styles depending on my mood but missed a decent bass. This unit was the perfect addition to my little office system. I was not looking for a super powerful woofer like for a big home cinema setup, just for something decent to support the lower frequencies. This unit is perfect. It fits next to the network player and is strong enough for a big office. Pleasing out of sight subwoofer
While not hitting the lows that you feel rather than hear, it still is able to give a lovely clear tone down to the capability of my hearing, and I do get some feel, mainly because I have it beside my armchair, under the coffee table. Nice Compact Sub
Needed a compact sub for the master that would fit on a shelf. I've used Yamaha subs for secondary systems and been happy with them. Not in the same class as my Velodyne's, but 10% of the cost. Works perfect for what I needed.
