Set in the mid-19th century, after the Civil War, JEREMIAH JOHNSON tells the story of a disillusioned man who turns his back on civilization and sets out to live in the Rocky Mountain wilderness. He is found cold and hungry by an old trapper who teaches him how to survive ruthless Indians and the merciless elements of nature. THE COWBOYS follows the fortunes of a veteran rancher who, after being deserted by his crew, is forced to hire a group of schoolboys to assist him on a cattle drive.
