  • Suspicion in a small Irish village

From director Nicolas Roeg (Walkabout, Don't Look Now) comes this tale of a woman played by Kelly Reilly, who plans to renovate a derelict building in a remote Irish village, unaware of the building's terrible history. When she falls pregnant, the villagers become suspicious and mistrusting. There are hints of the supernatural as in some other Roeg films but this adds to the feeling of unease as the story unfolds. A good film overall.

  • Mystical magical marvellous

Nicolas Roeg was not only one of the greatest British filmmakers, but internationally so. A brilliant unique, talent, always innovative, cinematic, never afraid to always engage the deeper, sensual, mystical, human condition. This his last film is no exception.
