The stories evoke times long gone, our heritage.
Many stories from the North-Eastern area of England, with fabulous locations, many in Northumberland & Durham. Tales of times gone by, often spoken in a gentle Geordie dialect, or in the wonderful Northeren lilt. I'd previously read several of the books & watched some of the televised episodes years ago. To access the full set on DVD was a great "find". They can be watched over & over.

Well worth getting if you are a Cookson fan
We have seen and collected several Catherine Cookson dvdx but to have an almost complete set is great. We only wish the Tilly Trotter dvd had completed the story, I have the book and there is much much more to her story.

Catherine Cookson? A definite watch
I love love love watching the Catherine Cookson films, and reading her books too. Just lose myself in the film, watching DVD means no adverts!! Having the collection means I can select which film I want to watch and not having to put up with the same films over and over again on tv.
