Crash bars for BMW R 1200 RT LC manufactured from 2014 to 2018. They have 3 mounting points per side and they protect the engine and lower parts of fairings. In the lower part, crash bars have a steel plate, which covers the exhaust manifold and the lower part of the engine.

    Excellent quality item

    Been after a set of these for a while,tried to buy direct through manufacturers web site,but was unable to get shipping costs to U.K.,so was very pleased to see them on eBay and at a price very similar to direct web site pricing Ordered,came in four days,no customs charges incurred so happy there They are solid items,look very similar to the Wunderlich products,coming in stove enamelled gloss black which I chose,or the silver grey. Come with all necessary fittings,which seem of quality stainless steel. Checked the instructions,quite basic and give you plenty of information,make sure you get the spacers right,although it is blatantly obvious if you don’t. All went on in less than an hour,I’d recommend a good cleaning underneath the engine,and make sure the holes you bolt in to on the underside engine casing are well cleaned out. Run a thread cleaner through if you can,or at least an old bolt. Then grease well with copper grease if possible( it won’t melt with the engine heat) There was no mauling and they fit exactly to every point,which is a sign of a good build quality. Look the part,obviously time will tell as for the weatherproofing,but very pleased and will buy the rear ones now s well.

    Arrived within 7 days. Unfortunately I had to pay £70 customs fees for both front and rear bars. However, that still made them much cheaper than the competition. Had both front and rears fitted within two hours. Absolutely delighted with the quality of the fit and the finish. The paintwork is excellent. Fingers crossed that long lasting. I believe that they will be as the quality is so good. 100% happy.
