Build your own receiver
This is basically the major part of a SSB/CW receiver. "All" you have to add are two oscillators, a VFO, a 9 MHz BFO and an audio amplifier. Yes, you need a power supply and some knobs and such. The piece is German design and manufactured which indicate the solid structure of it. You might find it a little old in its design as there are only "hole-through" parts and the PC board is larger than what You find today. I have not tested the board but I expect no surprises, and if it is broken I don't expect to have any problem to repair it. You receive the front end mixer, the IF amplifiers with a electric gain control ant three crystal filters, one roofing filter and two SSB filters, USB and LSB. I expect myself to construct a nice SSB/CW receiver with help of a 9 MHz oscillator and a DDS vfo (probably available on EBay.
