Poor low grade quality built inside. Will not setup to wire for relay switching. Low performance voice output is not consistent. Like using a dynamic microphone with the gain-control turned up to full. I tested this on four different radios; performance was the same poor.

Do the mod
This mic is ok as is from the factory but.... If you do the mod that is on the internet you will increase the quality of sound and performance of this mic by no less than 60%. This is my opinion of coarse but I'm sure you will see a great improvement and for the money you will be able to compare to studio mic sound.

Cobra M75 power microphone
I bought this for my president Lincoln + hoping it would create bigger output than the standard one , it actually was worse being 2-3 watts less , but I have an old super cheetah and it works just fine lifting the power by 2 watts, so if you have a new radio don’t bother but if you have a old radio I say go for it !!!

Decent but weak power mic
Decent power mic if modified. But stock out of the box it does not have much "power" to the mic. PTT button also has too stiff of a spring, but again can be modified.

Good Mic
It is a good mic but better for people with larger hands than a short lady like me. I use it anyhow. I am told I can be heard better on my Uniden Bearcat 980 Cb. So it is not a bad buy at all. Works well.

THIS REPLACEMENT OEM M75 HAS CLARITY, OF VOICE AND THAT IS NOT A PUN, AND RUNS CIRCLES AROUND THE AUDIO OF THE ORIGINAL MIC THAT CAME WITH THE MY WXT29 SO I'M GOING TO RE[LACE THE MICS ON MY OTHER 29 AND MY OLD RELIABLE 25 WITH 2 MORE OF THESE UNITS AND ONE FOR MY JOHNSON 4740 SIDE BAND BASE.
