Product Information

The C 747 is a tiny shotgun microphone designed for exacting orchestral, choir, podium, and boardroom applications. Flat, extended frequency response makes it suitable for high quality live music recording, while the frequency-independent pattern provides consistent off-axis rejection to control ambient noise and feedback in acoustically difficult environments. A switchable LF rolloff filter suppresses mechanical noise. The low-impedance transformerless preamp operates on 9 to 52 V phantom power. Standard accessories include a shock mount/adapter, mini gooseneck, stand adapter, mounting clamp, thread link, and windscreen.

Excellent directional microphone in tiny form factor...
Think of it as a baby shotgun. I have used them before, but bought this one due to the exceptional price. Perfect as podium mic for voice or as a drum mic. Unique, pencil shape fits in all kinds of odd places.

This would be a great conference room or Skype mic. But I bought it to use as a portable voice over mic and it generates too much noise for the job. I even ran it through my Grace Design m101, which is the quietest preamp I own, to no avail. So I can't recommend it for anything except what it was designed for. --Conference rooms or intercoms.

Great Mic
Installed easily on the end of a 3/8" all thread attached to the ceiling above our choir. Has been working remarkably well to amplify our gigantic 8 person choir:) Picks up the voices beautifully and they can now be heard throughout the church instead of just the back few rows below the balcony.
