I loved the film years ago when I first bought it on DVD and decided to go Blu-ray for the improved picture quality. It's not the sharpest Blu-ray I've ever seen, but it's definitely NOT just an upscale from the original DVD release as some reviewers have claimed. There's far too much fine detail for that to be the case. In my opinion, this is still one of the best black comedy British gangster movies ever made. Any film that can still make me laugh out loud after repeated viewings over nearly two decades is a winner in my book. The language is quite fruity in places so probably best to not watch this one in front of the kids. If you're a Samuel L Jackson and/or Robert Carlyle fan with a down-to-earth sense of humour, this one is definitely for you.
