    Fantastic little capo Paige P6e

I love this little capo great even tone when in use, well made with quality materials I was looking at buying one of the premium similar design capos so I thought Id try this one first to see if I liked the design and gotta say I love it no need to pay 5 to 6 times more for roughly the same thing from another manufacturer used with and fits perfectly on my Yamaha FG700S dreadnought

    Not Great

One of the capos was excellent and did what it should do, the other one was very tight and difficult to use. Both times I've ordered two of these, one of the capos was not very good to use. The screws felt as if the threads were rusty or weren't turned properly but there was nothing visibly wrong with them.

  • To Good not to have.

I like the fact that I can loosen it and slide it back over the nut when not in use, gone now are these words "where did I lay my capo" also, unlike the cantilever clamp type capo I have better control over the pressure I get with the finger screw (doesn't alter the tuning so much) The clamp type capo has the lever across the back of the neck, whereas the Paige one only has the screw in the middle, allowing my hand to twist from side to side when I'm playing up against the capo. (I have big hands) although the elastic strap type doesn't have this restriction you can't control the pressure on it.

  • If you want an unobtrusive and reliable capo then Paige is hard to beat

For comfort purposes I wanted a capo to effectively shorten the guitar neck. However all capos, to some exent interfere with the left hand movement and positioning. From photos and other reviews the highly rated Paige looked small and thin enough to minimise such inconvenience. I'm glad to say that the Paige passed to B7 test better than other capos I've ever used. It seems expensive for what it is. However, compared to bulkier and better selling trendy capos from America, its not bad at all. For this reason I'd say it is good value. Enjoyable? Well yes....I enjoy not having to think about it and I enjoy not having some huge shiny lump attached to my lovely guitar!

  • Paige P-6E Capo

The Paige P-6E was a trip down memory lane for me as I had a capo similar to this many years ago and I wanted to try a capo that was cheaper than some of my others. I have only tried the capo on a Gibson J45 and suits the neck radius well whether it would be so on a Martin or other make I don't know. The Paige is well made and quite slender but works well although for me though occasionally the screw adjuster does get quite close to my hand.

  • Perfect for fingerstyle players

Unlike other capos which tend to pull the strings out of tune, this one clamps straight down on all strings at the same time so your guitar stays in tune! Sits comfortably over the nut when not in use. And of course, unlike other capos, you can put on just the right amount of tension. Buy one of these and sell your G7 on ebay.

  • Good solution

I needed something strong yet flexible to allow me to leave the capo on my semitone detuned ancient 1944 Martin O 17 all mahogany guitar. This takes pressure off the old wood but capoed here gets rid of the difficulties at the nut. Great solution. Great buy. Thank you.

  • Good value Why pay more?

The Paige capo is a lot less expensive than the Taylor equivalent but it does the job perfectly well. It's meant to be stored behind the nut when not in use so is a bit bit awkward to remove from the guitar other than that great.

  • Impractical

Not easy to place or remove, and with a tendency to send the strings out of tune. The main problem is that the positioning of the knob made it hard to play the first fret.

  • Just Buy One

I've used a Shubb capo for over 30 years, always thought they were the best. This Paige capo beats the Shubb in my opinion, no variation in tuning no matter where on the neck its used. Great sustain, no buzz or rattle, and very little tension required on my Martin acoustic. If its good enough for Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle, it's certainly good enough for me!
