Excellent value and surprising sound from such a small package.
At full retail, this is a very good value speaker. For the price I paid ($69.99/free shipping) I think it's the best speaker for the money you can find in the low/medium price range. If you're looking for an audiophile quality speaker with deep resonant bass ... well, this isn't it and you'll not going to find one for less than $150, if not more. But considering the size and weight (tiny!), this box rocks. Bass is present and tight, but what you hear is the mids and highs, which are just terrific for this type of listening. If you move back to 10' or more, the sound is more balanced across the frequency range and it gets loud enough to hear it clearly in the next room. The other aspect of the Fugoo that puts it at the top of the heap in this category is battery life. Manufacturer-claimed duration of 10 hours between charges may in fact be accurate. I also have an Auvio PBT1000, which sounds fantastic and offers deeper and quicker bass but is is more of console speaker and not small or lightweight enough to be a convenient travel piece and battery life is very limited. As someone who travels a lot for both business and pleasure, the Fugoo is the perfect combination of sound quality, size and battery life and may be the best value of any compact Bluetooth speaker.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not loud enough for my purpose...otherwise great!
The sound is good. It connects quickly and easily to my iPhone. The battery life is wonderful - and really like that you can tap the power button and it will tell you the how much is remaining ("Battery life is about 3/4 full"). The size and appearance is also great. I have not had it out in poor weather, so I can't comment there. I bought it with the intent of zip-tying it to the handlebars of my Harley - Bluetooth it to Pandora on my phone while riding. This seemed a safer and better option than earbuds, which I'm used to using. That worked out well (zip-tying it) but I regret to say, that despite what seems like a decent wattage and is relatively loud in a standard room, with the motor running and wind noise to combat, I can only hear enough to get song recognition at low speeds, over 45-50mph, forget it. So, needless to say I'm disappointed and it was a waste of my money.... Maybe I just expected too much...great speaker for normal use however!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent BANG for your buck!
Speaker sounds great, I expected to receive the smaller version but ended up receiving the XL version which was fine! The sound quality is great and its awesome in the water. I wish the bass was a little deeper but you can't beat it for $45! I love the speaker and my Fugoo sounds throughout the house each time I play it with its 360 degree sound. A Good Buy
The battery lasts quite long. I am using the Fugoo to watch TV with a TaoTronic bluetooth transmitter/receiver. I have charged the TaoTronic twice already but still on the original charge for the Fugoo. Sound quality is quite good. Since this is an open box item, I was pleasantly surprised that it came in the original plastic case with all the cords and an owner's manual. While the speaker sometimes connects automatically, it doesn't do that all the time. I have not found out why. When it doesn't connect automatically, I just have to press the connect button. Great sound. Crisp.
Well designed. Very clear sound. Many BT speakers are to heavy on bass. Fugoo are crisp. Sound like vintage stereo speakers. Great for jazz, classical, and talk radio.
