Not adustable
It’s great that it goes to 5m but I thought it would be adjustable and suitable for training as it says “training” in the name. The tunnel springs out to the full 5m and my dog will not go near it at 5m long. I thought you could adjust to 1m then adjust it longer when the dog is comfortable moving through the tunnel. Good cheap tunnel pup took to it easy
Didn’t want to pay much as didn’t know if my scaredy cat pup would ever use it, so went for this cos cheap as got recommendation would help with confidence training. It works! She loves it now n only took half an hour to go through full length. Started with totally closed ring n lure just head thru with treats. When happily stepping through loosen but hold closed to about 1 foot length only. Lure with treats never force n allow to back out as much as wants, when goes right through readily extend tube a bit more till happy with that then total length. Each change reverted to backing out after retrieving treat numerous times. That’s actually good learning curve! Also each session for many days started with backing out after retrieving treat from short way in. Time needed to remember it’s ok and patience being key. Watching loads of videos before starting helps to see tips and pitfalls to avoid. Best is “Bellas trix” advice, don’t rush, don’t push, be patient, always take training back a step or 2 if needed to gain success.... be happy!! If you’re not don’t do it that day, pup will thank you for it and progress quicker. I highly recommend this tunnel, it’s given me and my pup confidence in her progress. In home training with it mostly twice a day everyday for many weeks now and it stands up to her flying through it when in the mood, no rips, tears or frayed bits. Pups now 45lb plus with massive heavy feet n big claws! Plus kids crawling thru. No damage yet! If n when there is be happy to buy another at that price. Only slight negative is over many openings carrycase is not holding up so well, bit tight n pulling away at zip. But tunnel itself is great. Love it. Tunnel trained!
Well, what can I say . . . .? My young dog just adores this tunnel! He won't go down the dark tunnel at the dog club, probably because it's too thick to allow any light through it. His new tunnel does let light through and as soon as a ball was thrown along it, he was right in there and out the other side. He even turns around and comes back through without any encouragement. The washable material is light-weight but the whole structure isn't, due to the metal wired support. The metal pegs which come in their own little back bag, hold the tunnel securely in the 12 tabs with metal eyelets to prevent it tearing. Pressing the pegs into the grass is necessary as my 13-month-old dog travels with gusto and would move the tunnel but for the pegs. The circular carry-cover with handles allows the tunnel, complete with 3 generous fitted tie-ups, to be stored away neatly until the next enjoyable playtime. I have already purchased a mini agility kit and this tunnel is a wonderful addition to help burn off excess energy in a young dog.
