Really good item
I was dubious about spending money on another fat feeder. However, the larger birds were eating the fat balls so quickly in my current feeder, leaving nothing for the smaller birds and costing me quite a lot of money each week. Although starlings can still feed through the wires, this feeder does detract the larger birds and I will soon have saved sufficient money on fat balls to pay for the new feeder! The small birds are now able to feed in peace.

Squirrels broke in within 24 hours!
Unfortunately this feeder is not squirrel proof. Although they can't get in from the sides of the feeder, in less than 24 hours our squirrels worked out how to remove the lid and take the fat balls out whole. Oh dear.

Out side cage isn't big enough
The cage needs to be bigger...starlings are able to eat fat balls from outside the feeder. It does stop large crows but the fat balls go down very quickly because the starlings can access it easily. Fat balls disappeared in a day so, not value for money!

NO MORE BIG BIRDS ATTACKING THE FOOD
It does the job it was made to do. Like similar feeders they are quite flimsy particularly the hinges on the lids. They were also slightly battered in the mail.
