Garmin Drivesmart 60 LMT
As of right now I can't say a lot about it because I have not had a chance to use it. I have how ever been looking at and trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B through out the city with out getting on the expressway. If you know how to do this please message me. I hate expressway driving. 99% of my driving is in my city. It looks real nice. You do have to repeat yourself on the voice command which I kind of expected that but from what I have seen of it so far I love it. I have never owned a GPS and I love the fact that I can say where I want to go without typing it in. Great feature for a disabled person. Died 2 hours after use
Received and it worked. Charged it all up and took it on a long trip charged in car with the blue light showing power. 2 hours later it died and did not come on until I arrived destination 18 hours later. Charged it up on computer for a day then upgraded using express on the map2017 update and the 1.30 program update. Took about 3 hours said it was successful. Hooked it back into car left it for 2 days charging and then took a drive but GPS failed to power up ever. So RMA to Kansas cost me $18 insured. have a new one a week later working but afraid to upgrade it and especially it may be near a year until another trip before using it again? Price is also lower now, probably a newer model coming? Been less than a month for all this. I have 2 older Garmin and Magellan work perfect just older and no updates as updates cost more than a new one. When they are over 10 years old they should be free updates. Now I know to bring a backup gps. Can't use cell gps if no coverage and data plan too small. Pay more than other countries for less service and every little thing and tax. Large screen has many featutes.
I have only had this item for a short time but product works for the most part as described. Voice command works well, have not tried the Bluetooth yet. The screen is large enough for me to see the direction while sitting on my dash board in my work van, the voice setting is adjustable and the setting I have it on is loud enough for me to hear directions without looking at screen. The alert system works well for speed limit changes and as far as I know works well for school zone. For the parts of the system that I have tried the only issues I have is with the traffic alerts, it does not work as well as i would have expected. If not for the traffic alert issue I would have given it 5 stars at this time. Great features and easy to use.
Bought this to replace a 3490LMT and I like it a lot. The larger screen makes it so much easier to read. Also like the voice command feature. Great for hands free navigating. It takes a while for it to learn your voice but then it works great. Drive alerts and being able to make and receive phone calls and messages are two more nice features. Essential travel tool
We used this for a cross country trip in a rental car and were generally pleased with the results. The more we used it and tried various features, the more satisfying our experience. If you have time before your first use, best to spend some time reading the manual and playing with the features important to you. I am sure there are more features we did not use, but will save that for next time. A couple of quirks should be noted. The address used should be double checked on the map before navigating to that location. We thought we programmed an address taking us from northern New Jersey to midtown in New York City, but the initial address we used took us to Queens, far north of our destination. By the time we realized we were not headed in the right direction, we found ourselves stuck in rush hour traffic and the detour was nerve racking. We pulled off the highway and reprogrammed using Manhattan as the city and received the location we desired. We found having a paper map useful as a back up on the road. There are limited choices for alternative routes, which means you must make manual adjustments. That feature was difficult to manipulate. If you select a route different than programmed, the GPS will not recalculate for miles and miles, meaning you receive repeated messages to make a u turn or go back to the original route. We turned it off in a couple of locations as it was too annoying. On balance, I was happy we purchased this device, felt it was a good value and recommend it to others.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

difficult to load but once loaded it's easy too use. Download the manual, the Garmin DriveSmart 60 LMT GPS does more than you can remember, I have too lookup information. Better Than Expected
This gps unit has far exceeded what I expected. It is way better than the To Tom units that it replaced. This units while older, are still made and marketed as their middle of the pack units. This unit is super easy to use and the voice recognition worked far better than any voice recognition I have used to date. Makes it very easy to use in everyday life.
