This is an excellent, good value, plain yogurt maker, which can also be used to make Greek-style yogurt. It is simple to operate, and easier to clean than those yogurt makers that have lots of little pots with lids. If you want to make Greek-style yogurt, simply pour your regular home-made yogurt into the strainer which is set up over the larger tub provided, put the lid on, and put into the fridge overnight. In the morning you have a strainer full of Greek-style yogurt and quite a lot of whey in the container underneath, which you can freeze and later use in soup, or in bread-making - or in other ways you can easily find online. If you leave the thick yogurt in the strainer for even longer, you end up with a soft white cheese.

The machine is very stylish on my worktop which i like. My first attempt with adding live yoghurt ended up as cheese (delicious actually) but I wanted yoghurt. My second attempt was nearly all whey with very little yoghurt. This was with a powder starter. After googling for information I reduced the timing on the third attempt with a live yoghurt starter and today have a very reasonable and tasty product. The only downside for this yoghurt maker is that it is too tall to fit on the shelves of my fridge so I have to put the lid on upside down. Overall I am very satisfied now I have experimented.

I spent a long time looking at the yoghurt makers and eventually chose this one. It is simple to use with basically a plug and an on/off switch. It sits neatly in the corner of the worktop and can even fit in my already packed cupboard. The unit is 2 tubs and a sieve that all sit inside each other with no nasty nooks and crannies it is so easy to wash and dry. As a Vegan I used soya milk and it made lovely yoghurt with no added sugar but best of all is the sieve to make the Greek yoghurt which is so creamy, thick and yummy scrumptious. Added to fruit, honey or vanilla it is outstanding. I will never buy shop yoghurt again.

I eat a lot of Greek yogurt. So a lot of plastic cartons. This is perfect. Easy to use. I used some natural yogurt to start. I just use semi skimmed milk. And strain. So easy. And no waste plastic
