I am always concerned when commissioning a new printer onto the office system as I am not an IT geek! With the combination of the quick guide and the CD I had the printer running in no time at all. Although fiddly to fill, the tanks are excellent and I do not expect half the problems we experienced with other colour inkjet printers. Sheet tray volume is a bit lighter than I would have liked, and you do need to fully remove the tray for refilling or the system says there is a jam! If you have not printed colour in a few days the system lets you know it is cycling the printer jets to maintain them ready. I have gone back to inkjet printers now from laser printing as the ET-4550 overcomes the constant/out of date refill problem and is significantly cheaper to run than laser. Quality of printing is exceptional even on thicker paper which the laser didn't like. If only Epson would make their whole range available in the ET version.Read full review

I gave up trying to set it up using wifi and bought a longer usb cable. The print quality is excellent. My main disappointment so far is not being able to print A5 size with no border. "Borderless Printing" doesn't recognise A5, though it does recognise various odd letter sizes - presumably American. Another snub from our imperial masters?

Print quality is fantastic, printer is VERY large and heavy, so seems to be very robust. One star missing as the supplied disc did not have drivers for a MAC. Also I have not as yet linked it to the cloud, I am led to believe that the printer needs a screen to do that, which of course, it does not have. However, from my perspective, I am not too concerned about cloud connection at this time. Cannot fault the print quality. I do a lot of photos of an item against a black background, and it prints the black in a really deep and rich colour. Overall, I am pleased with this printer.

I have owned several 'Photo' printers over the past 20+ years and currently own two (2), both Canon, an MG-7550 and now the Canon Pixma Pro 100s, both are excellent at what they do. The much larger 100s prints 13 inch x 19 inch in stunning quality and detail, I cannot fault this printer in any way and can safely say that as far as dye printing is concerned there is no other printer that can compare with it in any way. Using High quality papers and setting the printer accordingly has never failed to surprise me and I feel certain that it will continue to do so. Every single person who has seen the results obtainable are equally amazed, I could not acieve this level of satisfaction using pigment only printers that was the reason I returned to using a dye printer, I will never regret my decision in doing so and I look forward to seeing it produce a great many more prints that quite simply astonish and amaze the viewers. The Pixma Pro 100s is an amazing piece of kit that any amateur or semi-pro photographer woud be proud to own. Yes it is quite big and bulky, yes the ink may seem quite expensive but all ink is expensive...mire expensive than gold per gram... The quality of the prints is truly outstanding in every respect and I can't tell the difference between the Pro100 and the £1000 Pro1000. Shop around for the best price on both the printer and inks though and if working to a budget you could use aftermarket inks.

This gives great results. But you should be aware it is a very heavy printer and also has a big footprint. You need space to work with especially if you are linking with a USB cable which i ended up doing as the wifi set up process is not straightforward. It has colour correction ICC for linking into Lightroom which is handy.

Does exactly what I wanted it for. Copes with heavyweight card and even does well on textured card stock which I needed for producing wedding stationary. Photos are lovely quality and colours are perfect. Was very easy to set up with two separate laptops and no problems with printing from phone. This is not a small item (which is to be expected from an A3 printer) but be aware two people may be required to move it especially before it's unpacked. Came with full set of inks and a sample of Canon paper, very happy so far.

I have always had Canon printers so when I needed an A3 printer for my artwork there was no contest. The print quality is excellent, though I have yet to fully install the printer profile for the Hahnemuehle paper I am using. It takes up quite a bit of space and is about 20KG but that is no different from other A3 printers I imagine. To be strongly recommended especially at this price ( I paid £299 ).

Print quality on this is truly amazing. If you think it's a big printer though, it's bigger still. You'll need a good bit of room to put it. It's very quiet and quick to print.

Great photo and digital image printer, and at less than £250 it was a steal. 8 ink cats including 2 greys means the monochrome images don't get a colour tint.
