This was so easy to use, just follow the instructions and you can’t go wrong. I wish I had this ten years ago. I had the drain down on my holiday home completed and all water removed from system and that includes the hot water system in about 15 minutes or less. Useful water drain-down device
The product is very useful and comes with a DVD (also available on a youtube) detailing how to do the drain down. If you don't have the exact connection type in the DVD instructions it does tell you what you can do to overcome this but I felt it rather skirted over these problems. Absolute must for any static caravan owner
This device make it so easy to drain down for winter or every weekend if you only go up at weekends but want to get up there over winter, just attach to your outdoor tap, connect a digital tyre pump, set to 2bar and go around the van turning your taps on emptying the water out till only air comes out leaving your toilets till last.! This is the best way of doing a winter drain down as it gets around the none return valves in showers and completely emptying the system and boiler without removing anything or having to leave the shower off the wall all the time.! Saving loads of time and money everytime you forget to take the shower off and it freezes and them leaks next time you go to your van..! Excellent, easy to use
Very easy to use, arrived quickly. I purchased the floe to drain down my static caravan, last year we had damage to pipe work to the boiler and shower. I couldn’t believe how much water came through the kitchen tap. It’s a mixer and I put it to hot, I questioned wether I had actually turned the stop cock off. A great easy to use product that does a brilliant job. Just gone through minus 13 in Shropshire and holiday home is OK. Caravan draindown kit
I have been looking at this kit for some time and when my wife received her letter from the caravan site referring to the drain down, and the cost, I suggested we give this a try. Watched the very helpful DVD that came with it and then we did a practice run. In no time at all we had her static caravan completely drained and for 1/3rd of the charge made by the site. Inventive and useful tool.
This is a relatively cheap and simple solution to draining down a lodge or caravan for winter. I found it to be good quality in fact better than the tap I was connecting to. The tap didn't have any sort of depth of thread on it and the floe did, so it was catching the underside of the tap before it was tight, I got round this by adding a second rubber washer to pack the connection on the floe. Great idea.
Not had a static van for over 40 years, but I can still remember the trauma of draining down at the start of winter, if we were going to be away in cold weather. This just makes it easy!!! Simple to use, quick, it only took 5 minutes to completely drain my van. It's a bit messy, you need a cloth to hold in front of the tap that you are working on, because the water sputters quite a bit, but that's just life. Floe drain down kit
Bought this for our newly purchased static caravan. I needed to fit an outside tap. Tried to drain down the caravan this week and was amazed how simple and effective it was. I couldn't believe how much water it shifted. It was just like the tap running for a few seconds before any air came through.
