Great and compact

The quality is NOTHIING like my original Unit!
I have the same model of this Krupps Espresso Machine that I love. Bought this second one - NOTHING like the first! After a month of using it it still smells STRONGLY of machine oil when I use it. I thought that would dissipate over time - it has not. The basket for the grounds does not fit properly. And the unit is several inches smaller and the finish different than my other model. The new one cost me 2 x as much as the original model - but the quality is awful. Since I am handicapped and someone put the original machine where I could not access it until today - I wasn't able to send it back in what ever time limit they had.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Carafe Handle Design Issue
Less than a week, 3 days actually, the handle separated from the carafe. A review of where it broke revealed that the screw which attaches the handle to the metal band around the carafe pulled through the plastic handle. Very poor design. We now have to put a cup under the machine to make espresso which makes a mess when you try to remove the cup because the cups are taller than the space made for the carafe. Everything there that was supposed to be.
As for the price I feel I got a good deal. A lot slower than I remember my old unit. Smells of bleach. If I add the water and immediately make an espresso it is awesome.
