Ideal hob trivet for moka pots and small pans.
This is the best hob reducing trivet I've found. It is made from the ideal gague of stainless steel rod. It supports the weight of a good sized moka pot without getting in the way of the flame. The material is ideal. Stainless will undergo some blueing at high temperatures, but the surface retains its sheen and structure. My previous trivet was chrome plated mild steel (described as stainless, mind you). The chrome plating flaked off after a month's use and the mild steel began to rust. This has now been recycled. If you're an espresso fan and need to stop your moka pot teetering on the gas hob, this is the very thing you need. Accept no substitutes.

Perfect.
The join of the wire is first class and cannot be noticed withour close examination, frame discolours in the heat but as it is stainless steel that is quite normal (I have used these frames for over 20years) and it sits on my AEG hod without moving at all. Also used it to acheive an ultra low simmer with a larger pan without any problems. Made in China dispite the North European sounding name. Highly Recommended.
