In the first we are introduced to Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino), retired top secret agents who are asked to undertake an investigation when seven other spies go missing. But when they also disappear it is left for their children, Carmen and Juni (Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara) to save them. SPY KIDS 2: THE ISLAND OF LOST DREAMS sees Juni and Carmen Cortez return for another big adventure in which they travel to the Island of Lost Dreams and encounter another set of Spy Kids. In SPY KIDS 3: GAME OVER Carmen is kidnapped by an evil toymaker and lock inside a virtual reality game. It's left to Juni to enter the game to rescue her from the villain. Rodriguez' usual brand of high-octane adventure is fueled by the nonstop action and numerous celebrity cameos including: Steve Buscemi, Alan Cumming, Bill Paxton, and Elijah Wood.
