Save Me From The 80's!
Great little unit for salvaging and porting over old 4 track cassettes to the digital realm. The pans on this are really spacious, and the level dials are easy enough to set a quick mix with. The drawbacks are no mute buttons on the channels, send/returns, and EQ of any sort. So this wouldn't be very good for one wanting to make some serious demos. Easy to use recording machine.
I bought this tascam because of nostalgia. I used a similar machine back in 03. This a very easy to use, plug and play recording machine. The only downsides are it doesn't include any effects such reverb or delay. If you already have those or using this as part of your setup, you're good to go.
