Its OK for 'near enough' use.

I bought it for my weaving loom to add yarn to the weaving shuttles so I don't over do it, the display on the caliper was flashing so I had to replace the battery with one supplied it came in a moulded plastic box and a instruction leaflet, it's got a large display and it's easy to use one handed

Problems with using 6" Digital Caliper vernier
Despite being robust & well made there are a number of flaws with the design & accuracy of the gauge. It needs zeroing every time you measure, even if re-checking the same measurements. The zeroing button is very easy to knock causing false readings. Internal measurements are less accurate than external ones. Top Class Calliper / Vernier Gauge.
I've always wanted a replacement for a basic non-digital model, & having read unfavourable reviews of the so called "carbon fibre" (but actually plastic?) cheaper models, decided to pay more for stainless steel (although not much more anyway). This item is well made, easy to use, & seems really accurate, I've even used it to compare the thickness of 2 different gauges of black refuse sacks & it was 0.01 mm. Very good value for what it is, you can pay more than this for a plastic one. Only draw back is were they put the battery cover, it is right where you put your thumb to move to the vernier which can result in you pulling the battery cover off.
