Black silicone in a small tube with a lot of uses - bought to repair a tear in my car's side window rubber seal. The gap was about 4mm and this gloop applied in 3 stages has bridged the gap and sealed the holes very effectively. Apply and wipe with a plastic stick or moist finger (as per bathroom silicone) and it works well. I had to cure it quickly with a small hair dryer as it was a bit too cold outside for it to happen naturally and I had to be able to close the door pdq! The silicone is thinner perhaps than the bathroom variety but it is at least black to match car parts. And now I have repaired a tear in a pair of silicone oven gloves - excellent!

I purchased this to replace the aerial seal on my car. I thought it would go on like bathroom sealant, but it doesn't go on as smoothly, as soon as you touch it it sticks to you. I just found it very difficult to get it looking nice. For any internal use, I'm sure it would be fine, as definitely is waterproof.

If you are looking for an adhesive sealant for attaching a damp proof membrane to your car door (underneath the door card) like I did, then this stuff is just the job! I had my car in at a garage a few years ago for a door repair, and like most garages the careless workers there were a disgrace, they must have just torn this damp proof membrane off and they didn't bother sticking it back again before they put my door card back on (whilst knackering some of the clips for that too). I hadn't realised how bad a job they made and put up with a door leak for a couple of years before I finally bothered to take the door card off and look at it myself. Anyhow, this stuff really solved the problem and I don't get door leaks any more. It stuck together and sealed all the tares in the membrane and sealed it to the door properly.Read full review
