Great Lightweight Scope
After dropping and breaking my 30 yr old Redfield scope, I decided on this Leupold VX-3i 3.5x10x40. This scope weighs 5 ounces less than the Redfield scope it replaced. The lighter weight is much appreciated at my age. Lens clarity is great from edge to edge. Windage & Elevation adjustment knobs were tight to turn, but adjusted fine at the range and sighted in very quickly. Parallax on this scope is set to 150 yards and close objects won't focus sharply, but no problem since most shots for me will be between 40 to 300 yards. I also own a Leupold VarX III 2x7x8 from 1983 which is a fantastic scope and gives me the confidence that this one will hold up just fine. PROS: Simple & Lightweight design. Easy power adjustment ring. Lens clarity is fantastic. No tools needed to make adjustments. CONS: So far none.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

In the future I'll spend more for a better quality brand.
It is pretty clear and usable but the adjustment knobs don't have distinct notches to count when zeroing in the scope. With care you can sort of tell how many clicks you have moved the knob. Then after it has been adjusted all of a sudden it might jump and the bullet strikes off from the aim point. My shooting has been from a bench with a solid rest. I feel they have let their quality slip a lot and I might have 10 of the older scopes so I am judging from previous experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Leupold all the way!!
Bought this VX-3i scope to top a new rifle. Previous Leupold products (scope and binoculars) have been great quality and clarity. This purchase looks to deliver same results.
