Got the finish I wanted easily

Prep everything for one spray session. Nozzle does clog easy as many comments (aerosol brake parts cleaner fixed that) I followed K2 website instructions ( 3 light coats over 90mins ) and am totally happy with my 32yr old camper bumper parts, Good prep, keep nozzle clean and shake it lots its thick stuff.

    Not great

I bought this in hope of a more durable paint for my van bumper as didnt fancy colour coding, the cans clog up. Ive got 2 cans sat here 3 qtrs full with blockages , nozzles are both clear, and were well shaken as i had a feeling it would be thick paint, really disappointed

  • Good finish but you don't get to use the whole can

This stuff looks great and is as easy to apply as any rattle can paint. I had a reasonable result with my faded bumpers on my T4. The only thing I would say is its only a 1 hit wonder meaning, you won't get to use the can on 2 occasions, the nozzle gets blocked and then becomes unusable. If there were 2 nozzles supplied that would certainly help this. I managed to use most of a can and get my rear bumper done but it did start to spit towards the end and a few big spots came out of the can as it was getting blocked up. I used probably about 80% of the tin and with the current nozzle thats all I'm expecting to get out of it. Was enough for my rear bumper. Make sure its well mixed/shaken and have thr tin at 20°c to help with a little extra pressure in the tin.

  • Finish is good, but nozzle clogged after less than half the can used.

I had tried Frost plastic texture paint, but that was very thin, no build, and minimal texture. The K2 paint is much better in that it does builds well and provides a reasonable texture, also dries quickly. The problem as others have said is nozzle clogging. I had shaken the can for about 3 minutes initially, then a couple of minutes before each coat. About half way through the can it started spluttering and clogging. I have thoroughly cleaned the nozzle, inverted the can after use and sprayed inverted to clear the nozzle, but it almost immediately clogs again. The problem is I am spraying a dashboard, so a faily large area. As soon as the can splutters and you get some large drops on the surface than that coat is ruined. I've ordered two more cans just in case to finish the job off. I need one fairly wet consistent coat to get an even finish. The next can , before use I'll try placing in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes, maybe leave it inverted for a while, then shake for several minutes before using. So it can provide a good finish, but order a spare can or two to ensure you can complete your job.

  • Only lasted 2 weeks

Nothing wrong with supplier but product used very fine sandpaper to key in then washed over with K2 degreaser and let dried off. Light spray then back over it. Looks great when done nice clean freshens up an old discolored bumper. 2 weeks later gone brittle patches coming off not been hit, just falling off ,not just small bits but large patches ! Bought 2 more cans to patch but looking like I have hand painted it ! Weekend job strip it all off with jet washer and scrap all off. Would really hate to go through car wash with this product as would come out a right mess. I do not recommend as only lasting 2 weeks on car and would avoid product. Not good value for money, about £30 for 4 tins that only last 2 weeks

  • The paint is very poor product

Manufacturer give wrong information about how to use paint. They said that don't need any primer. We have prepared plastic bumpers ready to paint and painted. After one week paint start come off. And finally after month 50 % paint is off. Just wait my time and money. Now have more job to get ready car bumpers for paint. I don't recommend this paint to buy. It's total rubbish. Look pictures of car bumpers. Csn see what happened with paint.

  • Shake well before use...

I used this for respraying some dashboard trim that had a number of scratches. I rubbed down the scratches and (obviously) this removed the original texture. I sprayed on four thin coats and the texture was restored with no flat spots. The first coat wasn't great but that was because I didn't shake the can enough before spraying (a common failing of mine) and it was a bit 'splattery'. Having followed the instructions the other coats went on well enough. It also dries quickly. Coverage is good and one can goes a long way.

  • Okay producy

Not nearly enough to paint two bumpers. barely enough to paint one. Nozzle blocks all too easily which results in blobs of paint spoiling finish. Maybe it was the low temperature but I warmed the can and cleared the nozzle regularly and still no joy.

  • Its really thick paint

Looking at some of the reviews after I'd bought it filled me with dread. But its really good stuff but you have to shake the can for ages and a bit of heat on the can to increase the pressure. You can vary the texture depending on the distance of the can. Its probably worth having a play before using it on your actual bumper. Oh and the issues with it flaking is normally down to not prepping the surface prior to painting.
